Watched 'IN HER PLACE' (Netflix). An interesting film from Chile that is based on real events. In 1955 a famous Chilean female author shot & killed (execution style) her ex-boyfriend in a crowded hotel restaurant in downtown Santiago. She was so popular with the Chilean people that the President pardoned her even though she had been only sentenced to only 541 days for premeditated murder. The film also concerns a woman who was the secretary of the judge on the case. This woman got keys to the female author's apartment to bring her a change of clothes while she was incarcerated. The secretary kept the keys and lived in the apartment and became enthralled with the sense of independence that she got from living in the author's apartment. The film is kind of an homage to the ideal of 'feminine freedom and independence'. When the author receives gifts of a crockpot and an electric floor polisher from her lover, she drags them to a bridge and throws them in the river. She doesn't want to be anyone's servant or maid. I watched a 4 minute YouTube review of the film that was very helpful. What I was seeing was about the same as the reviewer. I really enjoyed the film.

I was listening to 'WHITE CITY' by Pete Townshend and I stumbled upon a YouTube video where he is interviewed about the concept and the album. I shut it down after 5 minutes, but I will definitely continue it on the treadmill later this afternoon.

I began the calls about 1130am. I opted for the 'ATT GROUP MEDICARE ADVANTAGE (PP0) PLUS PLAN'. This includes dental, vision, and hearing. You can't pick individual policies and you have to take all three.

***Very simple until there was a problem with the primary physician. I couldn't remember Dr. Omar Vargas. Then I learned that he's not in the network, so I had a clerk find out if I could make it work. On Hold....Then I called Dr. Vargas's office explained the situation and they will call back..."It's my understanding that although he is not in the network, he can still bill the insurance if he wants to. I want to find out if he will." This is far more complicated than it needs to be.  THE ANSWER: He's not in the network and I'd have to pay a co-pay, and then what it would cost without insurance.  No! Goodbye.

1) ***I called 866 819 3448 and waited many minutes for customer service and gave them the name of my new primary physician. 

2)***I have to call MetLife and cancel that policy for 2025.

My New Primary Physician is Dr. "Martinek, Christopher M, MD" at 2200 Wabash Ave, Springfield, 62704.

***I made an appointment for Tuesday, January 7th at 1pm for a physical and to meet the new doctor. Then I called MetLife to cancel the policy for 2025, but I can't cancel until 11/20 or anytime after that. I made a note on the calendar to call on 11/20. 

215pm: I had taken it as far as I could. What a pain in the ass and a massive headache!

220pm: PC is 'Off' and will hit the treadmill to drain off a bit of stress.

***Last night a big branch from the tree next door fell in the tree next to my driveway. The big branch was wedged in my tree and I had to saw through the fallen branch before it dropped. I dragged the pieces over in front of the fireplug because 'Built Rite' parks their trailer where I usually put branches. It took about 30 minutes. 

320pm: SIX MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; PETE TOWNSHEND YouTube 'White City' interview & DONALD TRUMP on J.R.E. 

No Weights.

550pm: In the tub with 'THE BILOXI BOYS and listening to PETE TOWNSHEND Playlist; FEVER TREE Playlist; FREE- 'Live!'.

Began SHANE SMITH on 'Club Random'.

Began 'BODKIN' (Netflix). I shut it down 32 minutes into episode #2. This series is a winner with a strange and droll tone. It concerns 'Samhain' which is a Gaelic holiday that predates Halloween.

Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
