Watched 'FAMILY FIRST' (Hoopla)- {1st time on 'INDIEFLIX Binge Pass'}. A very interesting film about a severely dysfunctional family who kind of live on the edge of the criminal world. Some family members have menial jobs and they merely supplement their income with minor criminal activity.  Two brothers 'work' for their uncle who owns a bar and they run minor amounts of drugs and shake down local small businesses with threats and small-time vandalism. One of the brothers is studying to become an electrician (he wants out) and the other brother is a complete psycho. He's playful, yet deadly and even his mother doesn't want to be alone with him.  I really liked this one. 7 wins & 8 nominations. This film was the Canadian entry for the 'Best Foreign Language Film' at the 91st Academy Awards. 

Watched 'MODERN SLAVE' {also INDIEFLIX). A 25 minute short film about a prostitute who gets ripped off, but it was just a ploy by her pimp to get her even more dependent upon him. 'Sex Trafficking' and 'Prostitution' are not the same. Trafficking implies that the women are coerced and forced into the business while Prostitution can be voluntary....I guess.   

Watched 'THE DEAD DON'T DIE' (Netflix). "Keep America White Again".  Lyric from 'The Dead Don't Die' by Sturgill Simpson:"Oh, well after life is over the afterlife goes on"; A small-town police chief and his two deputies face the Zombie Apocalypse; with Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton, Chloe Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, Danny Glover, Caleb Landry Jones, Selena Gomez, Rosie Perez, Carol Kane, RZA, Iggy Pop, Tom Waits. "53" Metascore and I would have bumped it up to "73".

545pm: In the tub with 'THE AQUITAINE PROGRESSION' and listening to MY BLOODY VALENTINE- 'Loveless'; CHARLIE MUSSELWHITE- 'Stand Back'; BLUE OYSTER CULT Playlist. 

Began an interview (35") with Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, and Mickey Hart.

More '1992' (Netflix). I shut it down 38 minutes into episode #5. The murders seem to be retribution for the murder of a prostitute during the Expo '92. I'll bet it's the hooker's son that's exacting his revenge, but it hasn't been revealed about the cause of his severe burn injuries.  I should be able to finish the series tomorrow morning.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
