Up 540am: Breezy with a mix of sun & clouds and temps to low 40's. Much warmer than the last couple of days, yet a big drop in temps tomorrow. 

Watched 'HALLOWEEN' (Netflix- leaving soon). I was expecting more, but well worth a look. Grandma's house was not designed for 'security', but it was an elaborate 'trap' for Michael (The Bogey Man). The theme of the film (and the Slasher Film Genre) is the 'celebration of irrational fears' because in real life friends and family are far more likely to harm you than a random madman. 

Began  'FAMILY PACK' (Netflix). Twenty-seven minutes into the film I decided that life was too short and I'll find something else. A quirky & dysfunctional family is transported back to France in the late 15th century and they have strange 'super powers'. It was far too ridiculous. 

More of 'ALICE IN BORDERLAND' (Netflix). I shut it down 18 minutes into episode #3.

****On a whim I booked an appointment for Friday at 115pm for a new phone. I might as well get one before the tariffs go into effect. 

1220pm: To Esporta...45"Precor,  45"Treadmill,  30"Cross,  15" Recumbent Bike,  30"Precor;  watched 'THE CATCHER WAS A SPY' (Netflix). A very mediocre WWII spy film about an 'ex Red Sox baseball player/ OSS operative' who must deal with Werner Heisenberg's (a theoretical physicist & principal scientist in the Nazi nuclear weapons program) involvement in Nazi atomic research. Kill Heisenberg before he can reveal the secret of nuclear fission to Hitler; with Paul Rudd, Tom Wilkinson, Mark Strong, Shea Whigham, Sienna Miller, Jeff Daniels, and Paul Giamatti. How did they get so many stars for this lackluster, flat & forgettable film? "49" Metascore. I would have bumped it up to "66"- a low 'C-minus' ; more of  BLAIR SOCCI on 'STAVVY'S WORLD'.

Began 'LUCKY BHASKAR' (Netflix- I'll finish this tomorrow night and then back to 'ALICE IN BORDERLAND'). I shut it down with an hour and 20 minutes left to go. Pure Bollywood with dance numbers sprinkled throughout, but still a compelling storyline. I'll finish tomorrow night.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
