Up 7am and immediately began The Weekly Cleaning.

Bright & breezy with temps only to 10 degrees. A 'Cold Weather Advisory' is posted until tomorrow. 

Watched 'RESTORE POINT' (Kanopy). The premise is innovative. In the future you can daily back up your life to 'the cloud' and if you are killed, you can be revived to the point of your latest backup. The company wants to 'privatize' the organization and change the system to 'pay to play' and then film changes to a Police Procedural.  A female police detective is investigating the murder of a married couple which led to the release of a computer virus that could delete all of the clients' backup information. I didn't follow much of the storyline, but the presentation of the 'future technology' was very good. 5 wins & 5 nominations. "74" Metascore. I would have gone to "78".  

Began 'ZAPPA' (Amazon Prime). I shut it down at the 49 minute mark and I'll continue on the treadmill. 

1230pm: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do five miles on the treadmill. It's 7 degrees with a 15 mph wind from the northwest.

12pm: FIVE MILES AT {4.0} PACE AND ZERO SLANT; finished 'ZAPPA' (Amazon Prime)- He's an amazing artist, but he never appealed to me. His cynical & grim attitude turned me off and I didn't think that he was one bit funny. However, I bet I would like more of his symphonic music; I watched some 'Classic Album' FRANK ZAPPA- 'Apostrophe'.

Put 'Trainspotting' over the fireplace & 'Oldboy' is now adjacent to 'The Hullabaloos'.  It took far too long & the walls could use a coat of paint. 

440pm: TWO MILES AT {4.0} PACE AND ZERO SLANT; HARLAND WILLIAMS with BOBBY LEE. 

540pm: In the tub with 'TRANSCRIPTION' and listening to KRONOS QUARTET Playlist; BROWN ACID- 'The 16th Trip';  HUMBLE PIE- 'Thunderbox'; ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND- Fillmore Live 1971.

More 'UNDER FIRE' (Netflix). I shut it down 12 minutes into episode #7. The heavy metal fan's blind date didn't show up to the concert because she was a wheelchair user and she hadn't made that fact known to him.  As soon as he learns the truth it makes no difference and he seems to like her. The series is basically 'soap' mixed with some nice rescue sequences. Example: A girl is crushed in a car/truck accident and they know that when they remove her she will bleed out, so they let her make a call to her parents before they cut her out of the car.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
