Up 530am: Brutally cold with a 'Cold Weather Advisory' and today's high is only 4 degrees. Wind Chills significantly below zero. 

Watched 'SUBSERVIENCE' (Netflix). Mom's in the hospital for a heart transplant so dad buys a very sexy robot to help with the housework and mind the kids. What could go wrong? This was such a silly premise that it was unintentionally hilarious; with Megan Fox {her portrayal of the sultry automaton was a dead ringer for Kim Kardashian}. File under 'so bad it was almost good'. Filmed in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Began 'SCHINDLER'S LIST' (Netflix). The life and times of Oskar Schindler. I had forgotten how powerful this film was; with Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes,  Ben Kingsley. Directed by Steven Spielberg. Won 7 Oscars; 91 wins & 49 nominations. "95" Metascore and that's about where I'd put it. I'll finish it tonight or tomorrow morning.  

Spent time writing a reply to Secret Nature about the late order. The text is in a 'draft'.

***About 330pm the router seemed to go out. I powered it 'Off/On' and restarted the phone. My Google Speed Test was in the 20's. According to Xfinity there were no problems in my setup or the area. 4pm: rechecked and back over 200.

540pm: In the tub with 'TRANSCRIPTION' and listening to MILES DAVIS- 'Bitches Brew'; SPOOKY TOOTH- 'SPOOKY TWO'.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
