Watched 'GOLDEN KAMUY' (Netflix). A fortune of gold is hidden somewhere on the northern island of Hokkaido, Japan and the treasure map is made up of very large tattoos on the bodies of several escaped convicts.  Individually the tattoos are useless and can only work after the bodies are skinned and then sewn into a map. The hero is a guy who is 'almost' immortal and wants the gold so that he can hire the best doctors to reclaim his fiance's eyesight. In the end, he's just formed a partnership with a young female warrior to team up and find the gold.  The film feels like it was based on a graphic novel, and there are obviously more chapters to the story. The film has some nice bear vs. wolf footage, but it was all CGI and it seemed that Realism was the last thing on anyone's mind. Set on the Japanese island of Hokkaido shortly after the Russo-Japanese War (1904-1905). Just slightly above average.

More of 'THE NIGHT AGENT' (Netflix).I shut it down 30 minutes into episode #5. The series is much better than many in this genre, but no new ground is broken. The guy playing the lead is such a non-threatening 'guy next door' type that it's easy to accept some of the inconsistencies.

Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
