Up 6am: A mix of sun & clouds with temps almost to 80! A 'wind advisory' is in effect with potential gusts to 40 mph this afternoon.

Watched 'SUITABLE FLESH' (Hoopla). A silly film about a female shrink who is visited by a young man who claims that his father is trying to 'steal his body'. However, it was only a 'demon' looking for another host.  Buckets of blood and sexy situations can't make up for a witless storyline. The film claims to be based on a short story by H.P. Lovecraft, although the connection is barely discernible; with Heather Graham, Judah Lewis, Bruce Davison, Barbara Crampton. "64" Metascore and that's about where I'd put it.    

I spent fifteen minutes getting the calendar in order. I got a new dental appointment so that it didn't conflict with Dax's and I cancelled the appointment for Dr. Vargas since I have Martinek. 

Watched 'QUEEN OF THE DEUCE' (Kanopy). A profile of a Greek woman who arrived in the US shortly after WWII and came to own and operate most of the triple X-rated cinemas in NYC. She was a phenomenal business woman, yet not a fan of the nuclear family. She left her children when business opportunities beckoned, yet she was always able to reconnect and she always did it her way. Although she was married to a number of men, she was actually a lesbian and embraced 'both sides of her family'. 

1145am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then hit Esporta.

1230pm:  To Esporta...45"Precor,  45"Treadmill,  30"Cross,  15" Recumbent Bike,  30"Precor;  watched 'GATSBY IN CONNECTICUT: The Untold Story' (Amazon Prime)- Gatsby was set in Long Island and Westport Connecticut makes the case that it's actually set in Westport.  Gatsby was probably based on F.E. LEWIS who owned 175 acres and a sprawling mansion on the Connecticut coast;  watched 'TOLLBOOTH' (Amazon Prime)- A gangster hides out as a tollbooth attendant. Dull & bland & I didn't finish it; more 'WE MIGHT BE DRUNK'.

540pm:  In the tub to finish 'SS GB' by LEN DIEGHTON and re-beginning 'THE WASP FACTORY' and listening to DAVE HOLLAND Playlist; NOEL REDDING EXPERIENCE; JIMI HENDRIX- 'Electric Lady Studios'.

Began 'WEAK HERO' (Netflix). {I'm going to watch the Indonesian anthology one at a time}. I shut it down 31 minutes into episode #2. A tale of high school bullying in South Korea. The kid that gets picked on is no wimp and this is a novel twist to a fairly common storyline.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
