Up 630am: Chance of random showers this morning with highs in the upper 60's and temps falling.  By afternoon the forecast was for windy conditions and no rain. {We missed severe storms once again. Last night the weather radar looked very grim for us this afternoon, but now 'just rain'...and that didn't even happen}. 

The tulip tree in the back is now in full bloom, but the wind and rains will have all the petals in the dirt in no time at all. 

Weekly Cleaning

Watched 'LITTLE SIBERIA' (Netflix). A meteor falls in a secluded Finnish village and the locals think that tourists will flock to the town and their economy will boom. And, the town's pastor finds out that his wife is pregnant, but 'his sperm don't swim'.  The film was shot in Nurmes, Finland, but it is called 'Hurmevaara' in the film. A cute dramedy, but lost credibility when the hero confronts his 'enemies' and runs around with a butcher knife deep in your chest. 

Began 'FAMILY THERAPY' (Kanopy). A strange Slovinian tale of a family under pressure. They are very rich and entitled and when the father invites his 'other' son into the house, emotional mayhem ensues. Mom and sis are perplexed, but dad thinks it will all be worthwhile when his family can 'travel in space'. I shut it down at 1 hr and 10 minutes and 52 minutes remain. Filmed in Gorizia, Italy which is on the border of Slovenia.

1230pm:  The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and hit Planet Fitness. So far not a single drop has fallen all day, but it looks as if it will hit later this afternoon. {It did not, but Indiana got hit hard}

115pm: To Planet Fitness...45"Cross,  45"Treadmill,  15" Recumbent Bike, 30" Treadmill,  30" Cross; watched 'WHITE HOT: The Mysterious Murder of Thelma Todd's (Amazon Prime)- I made it to within 10 minutes of the end, but it made me repete including commercials. I'll read the Wikipedia article on the actress; more of the female doctor against vaccines on J.R.E.; began a  HARLAND HIGHWAY.

More 'HARLAND HIGHWAY'

Finished 'FAMILY THERAPY' (Kanopy). It was a very strange and dark satire. When it didn't make sense, it made up by pouring on the weirdness, yet still the best film out of Slovenia. 

More 'WEAK HERO' (Netflix). I shut it down 32 minutes into episode #4. It's violent, but still 'sweet'. It is definitely not like any kind of an American high school film.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
