Watched 'HEAT' (Netflix). It's a classic bank robber film about a successful gang of thieves who specialize in the biggest scores. Unfortunately, they come up against a police detective who is hip to their game. The chase scenes are classic. Directed by Michael Mann; with Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Val Kilmer, Jon Voight, Tom Sizemore, Ashley Judd, Tom Noonan, and an extremely young Natalie Portman. "76" Metascore and I would go to "86". The film's ironic premise: "Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner". 'Ironic' in that both the protagonist and the antagonist are involved with people and situations that they cannot abandon.

545pm: In the tub to begin 'VALIS' and listening to MILES DAVIS- 'Birth of the Blue'; ROBIN TROWER- 'Victims of the Fury'/ 'Live 1977'.

Wrote a short Chat inviting them to pay a visit to 940 after their appointment with Dax on Wednesday morning. 

Began 'HIGH TIDES' (Netflix). I had seen season #1 and I gave it 'two thumbs up', but I don't remember much of the storyline although it obviously involves beautiful young & rich people cavorting in Belgium.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am.
