Weekly Cleaning

Watched 'YEAR 10' (Hoopla- borrowed yesterday).  Before the movie begins:

"It was all over in a day. At first, the living ate the dead. By year 10, the living ate the living". This sounds like a premise for another movie because this film is about a man in a post-apocalyptic mountainous environment who is fleeing a group of villains (cannibals?) while trying to retrieve medicine for his wounded girlfriend (sister?). Relationships are unclear because there isn't a word of dialogue in the film. However, it is clearly conveyed that there is no fresh water, food, clothing, or medicine and, as if that wasn't enough, packs of feral dogs rule the forest. It's a wonderfully skillful presentation and the tension is unrelenting. A solid 'B-Plus'.  

Watched 'THE DAD QUEST' (Netflix). A successful Mexican reality show producer is too self-involved to relate to his ten year old son. Mom has custody of the boy and when dad learns that he is not the biological father, he and the boy search for the 'real' father. This is a wacky premise and could have been something, but the film never rises above corny.

1145am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to check the oil level in the mower and see if I can cut the grass (for the first time this season). 

12pm- 110pm: I spoke for a while with my next door neighbor. He volunteered to help me when needed..."What neighbors are for"; "You're not alone". I picked up branches out back before mowing. The oil in the mower was clear and the engine turned over with a single pull.

Finished BERT & ARI on 'WE MIGHT BE DRUNK'.

More 'NARCOS: Mexico' (Netflix). I shut it down 17 minutes into the final episode;  50" remain.
