 Fr 5/2/25- Pole Delivery

725am (1-LB: Guavadew).  755am (1 hit-B: Guavadew). 110pm (2-LB: Cookie Bread). 535pm (1-LB:  Guavadew). 815pm (1-LB: Cookie Bread).

Up 630am: A mix of sun & clouds with temps to upper 60's.

****Yesterday a guy knocked on the front door and wanted to have permission to 'put flags on the property'. It was Comcast/Xfinity and they are going to replace the telephone pole out back. The pole is in 'Sam The Beagle's' yard. I hope I do not lose service because at 915am this morning I noticed more guys out back. These guys are from CWLP and they are delivering the pole through my side yard (Old Dead Lady). They have the pole balanced on a 2-wheel cart and they will push it through to the back. It's a tight squeeze. They laid the pole along the back fence. I talked with one of the guys and the hole will still be in Sam's yard. I might lose service, but it will be 'after lunch'. I guess it's a 'Go' for today. Yesterday I thought it would be weeks before they would get to it. They are putting down pieces of metal plates so that the tractor will not damage the lawn...I think. That's not correct. They didn't use the plates for the lawn and it must be put under the stabilizers when they begin to put up the pole.

A little after 12pm they began lifting the new pole to stand next to the damaged pole in Sam's yard. There was an auger on the crane vehicle that dug the new hole.

Watched 'EXTERRITORIAL' (Netflix). A German woman visits the American Consul in Frankfurt, Germany with her six year old son to interview for a job. The boy is kidnapped and held somewhere in the complex and then the plot becomes so complicated that it's laughable. But, if you like 'kick ass' women running the show, this is the film for you. Bruce Willis used to make a fool out of himself making these kinds of films thirty years ago. Only, it featured a man in the pivotal role. Filmed in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Finished 'A TRAGEDY FORETOLD: Flight 3054' (Netflix). Biggest accident in South American history occurred on July 17, 2007: 7pm- Two years after the accident the airport was 'privatized' and traffic through the airport was drastically increased, but nothing was done to lengthen the runways. "Sure was a good idea, till greed got in the way"- 'Union Sundown': Dylan.

1220pm: The PC is 'Off' and I'm going to try to leave at about 1pm and workout at Planet Fitness. I wanted to walk the treadmill, but I don't want to lose the power while I'm on the machine. I'd rather have all of my equipment 'Off' during any power cuts. Everything but water and gas are delivered from that pole. Hopefully, everything will be completed by the time I get home later this afternoon.

Weights: 3 sets/ 15 reps.

120pm: To Planet Fitness...[there was a guy up on the new pole when I left]...45"Cross,  45"Treadmill,  30" Recumbent Bike, 30" Treadmill,  30"Cross;  'THE BASTARD SONS (Amazon Prime)- A fairly decent, low budget gangster flick. The boss is killed and the son must have his crew 'get back what they've lost'. Set in New Jersey; more of BEN AFFLECK on THEO VON; finished season #2 of 'REACHER' (Amazon Prime)- About what you'd expect; violent & corny.

When I got home I went out back and noticed that the old telephone pole was marked 'IBT' (Illinois Bell Telephone) and the green light back router. It looks like there is more work to be done and I think Xfinity needs to take a turn on the new pole...I think.

540pm: In the tub with 'THE BIG MONEY' and listening to MILES DAVIS- 'Turnaround'; NAKED CITY 'Live'; FLEETWOOD MAC- 'Kiln House'.

Began TOM SEGURA on 'ARE YOU GARBAGE?'

Began 'BAD BOY' (Netflix). An Israeli stand up comic's life is shown in flashbacks. He spent four years in a juvenile prison beginning when he was only twelve. I shut it down 28 minutes into episode #2.

Fr 10/3/25- Brandenburgs/ Gummy

Fr 10/3/25- Brandenburgs/ Gummy  735am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 820am (3 hits-B: Citrus Mac).  1215pm [I took 1/3 of 'VIIA' 100 mg: 33 mg total].(1-LB: Citrus Mac).  240pm (4 hits-B: Diablo's Hearse). 435pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 530pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 815pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 630am: Rain was "in the area", but missed Westview and more sunny & unseasonably warm weather with temps close to 90. {No rain in a long time & it's getting crunchy}  About 730am several 'tree trimming' trucks arrived and parked just down the street. I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. They disappeared by 10am and I think they were at the house 'with the indoor whirlpool'.  Watched 'UPGRADE' (Netflix).  A very fine 'Dystopian/ SciFi' genre film about a couple in Melbourne ("in a not too distant future") who are in their 'auto...

Tu 9/30/25- Flu Shot/ COVID/ Gummy

Tu 9/30/35- Flu Shot/ COVID/ Gummy 730am (1-LB: a mix of Diablo's & Citrus). 815am (1/2-B: Diablo's Hearse). 1255pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 1pm [I took 1/2 'DIET SMOKE]. 250pm (1/2-B: Citrus Mac). 435pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 810pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac).  Up 635am: Sunny & unseasonably warm with temps almost to 90. Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland. "83" Metascore and I would go to "91".  Watched 'BEYOND TRAINSPOTTING: The World Of Irvine Welsh' (Kanopy). An excellent profile of t...

Su 8/9/26

Su 8/9/26 820am (GB: 5/ Durban Poison). 320pm (GB: 5/ Red Congolese).  535pm (GB: 6/ Durban Poison). 830pm (GB: 6/ Red Congolese).  Up 635am: Hot & humid with temps to upper 80's and a 'Heat Advisory' is in effect. Weekly Cleaning & I tried to add 'uBlock Origin' to the upstairs PC, but it said I already have it. I rejected all ads at Accuweather and it makes the site watchable. This feature is not available at The Weather Channel. I had planned to try a visit to Pleasant Plains in the morning, but constipated so I think I'll hit it later. Watched 'CHIEF OF STATION' (Netflix). A former CIA Station Chief's wife is killed in an 'accidental' explosion and then accused of being a double agent. Hubby goes rogue to find his wife's killers. Very lame and highly forgettable; with Aaron Eckhart (Alec Baldwin was first on their list). I had planned to visit Plains earlier, but constipation is an issue. 1025am- 205pm; home by 230pm call Joe...
