Up 535am: Breezy with a mix of sun & clouds with temps to low 70's. 

Yesterday afternoon a tornado rocked the Central West End in St. Louis and thousands are without power today. It happened about 2pm and at 330pm we got mothball sized hail on Westview.  

I got a prompt to 'update' and it only took a couple of minutes. What gives? Yesterday it wouldn't work, and today 'no problem'. 

Watched 'BLACK COAL, THIN ICE' (Kanopy).  A wild ride of a film and I had seen it before and I loved it. Two Crimes:  1) A serial killer is dropping body parts from an overpass onto coal freight cars.  Various parts wind up all over the country and the chances are slim that they would even be found or identified. 2) A woman who works in a dry cleaners murders a man because she couldn't afford to pay for the damage she did to his leather jacket. Her husband kills and dismembers the man and puts his own ID with the body. Cops stop looking because the wrong ID on the body makes it looks like the killer is dead. So many absurd & amazing moments in the film where you don't know whether to laugh or cry; Horse in the apartment building; "You forgot to pay for the skate rentals"?; Someone is shooting fireworks at the firemen at the end of the film. I loved this one!

Watched an episode of 'MY LOVER MY KILLER' (Netflix). An old married man in Surrey runs a kennel and takes in a woman and her two daughters as his housekeepers. They all live as a family for many years until he murders one of the daughters and her mother. The message is do not spend any time in a violent relationship. 

1005am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights, visit the book sale, and stop at Ace for caulking tubes and the cap for the downspout extension. Then, back home for a few hits and on to Planet Fitness.

Weights: 3 sets/ 15 reps   

1055am: To Library Book Sale. People were standing in line so that only a single line could stare at a table full of paperbacks by Steele and Clancy.  It was interesting that almost the entire northside of the sale was devoted to CDs, 

DVD's, and tapes. This might be my last visit to a Library Book Sale. I'd rather pay more and get what I want than the best of what's there. 

Then to Ace off Jefferson and the parking lot was full. They were sponsoring a 'cat adoption' and I absolutely did not want to be tempted. I left without entering the store. Home to change into workout clothes and smoke a bowl. 

12pm: To Planet Fitness...45"Cross, 45"Treadmill, 30" Recumbent Bike, 30"Treadmill, 30"Cross; watched documentary 'FRED AND ROSE WEST: A British Horror Story' (Netflix)- Authorities found 2 bodies buried in the backyard and 9 more in the basement. Fred hangs himself in jail and later Rose is convicted and gets life; more TOM SEGURA on J.R.E. 

Ace: $50- I brought the old caulk gun, but the fifteen year old clerk and myself couldn't get it to work. I bought a new gun and three tubes of caulk. I left the old caulk gun in the store and much to the confusion of the register clerk.

More 'IF I HADN'T MET YOU' (Netflix). I shut it down 10 minutes into episode #6. It's kind of a difficult film, but in a good way. Is it too obvious to think that the old lady is really his wife on another timeline?
