Watched 'MACHUCA' (Kanopy). In 1973 a headmaster of a Catholic school in Santiago, Chile decided to allow disadvantaged boys a shot at a free education. A rich kid and a poor kid become friends as civil war looms and larger political and societal pressures drive them apart. Many parents felt that it was pointless to give to the poor because they were lazy and government handouts just encouraged their slothfulness... "Commies get out! We believe in Freedom".  According to Google AI the film is based on a real experiment carried out during the socialist government of Salvador Allende at Saint George's College. This was a sweet 'coming of age' tale and too bad that it ended on such a low note.

Finished 'THE GLASS DOME' (Netflix). A superior piece of cinema and definitely worth a look. The uncle was just a red herring, and dad was the real villain. Lejla (pronounced 'Layla') was microdosing magic mushrooms throughout the series and I wonder if it heightened her abilities as a detective and profiler?    

1115am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to mow the lawn and then do five miles on the treadmill late this afternoon.

Watched a short video of JOEY DIAZ on THEO VON.

Began 'THE ETERNAUT' (Netflix). I shut it down 26 minutes into episode #2.  'Eternaut' refers to a person who travels through dimensions. It signifies a traveler navigating the dimensions of time and space. It's a portmanteau of 'eternal' and 'astronaut'.

{'Portmanteau'- blending the sounds and combining the meaning of two words; motel- motor & hotel; brunch- breakfast & lunch. Filmed in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
