Watched 'SYNECDOCHE, NEW YORK' (Kanopy). It's a starkly unusual portrayal of the life of a middle aged stage play director. He's 'directing' a large scale production of his life using a kaleidoscope of  personalities that reenact critical moments in his rather sad existence.   A very funny and absurdist comedy where you see different actors 'playing' themselves in the same scene; with Philip Seymour Hoffman, Samantha Morton, Michele Williams, Catherine Keener, Tom Noonan, Hope Davis, Jennifer Jason Leigh. Eight wins & 29 nominations."67" Metascore and I would go to about "84". From Los Angeles Times: "Sprawling, awe-inspiring, heartbreaking, frustrating, hard-to-follow and achingly, achingly sad movie." 

Watched 'ALBANIAN GANGSTER' (Amazon Prime). Inside the sick mind of an American/Albanian who is a washed up thug. He thinks it's all about Honor, but he's really just a slave to stupidity. It was better than I thought it would be. 

***It took 15 minutes to download a major update on the phone that I should have postponed. There doesn't seem to be a change in operation, but the 'look' is slightly different.'The Weather' background is completely different.
