I woke up at 5am but listened to the radio {the new radio is to arrive later today. (It did!)} till 640am: A mix of sun & clouds with temps to about 90. The crushing humidity is still very much a factor. 

Wrote up 'A MONTH OF SUNDAYS' by John Updike for the blog.

Watched 'HER BODY' (Kanopy). A female Czech Olympic high diver suffers a serious spinal injury and becomes a porn star. She died of brain cancer at the age of 27. The subject was far more interesting than the presentation. The film never rises above 'Lackluster'. 

Began 'MARLEY' (Hoopla- 2hrs 24 mins). Bob's father was a white man whose family owned one of the largest construction companies on the island of Jamaica. For a short time Bob relocated to Willmington, Delaware to be with his mother when he was seventeen. He married the winner of the  'Miss World' contest in the late 1970's.  She was representing Jamaica in the contest. Marley had eleven different children from seven different women. I shut it down with 53 minutes remaining in the documentary. 

1220pm: The PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill.

More 'MARCELLA' (Netflix).  I shut it down 36 minutes into episode #4. I have only the vaguest idea what is going on except there is a feisty female detective who is several steps ahead of everyone in the department. 

***This afternoon (Fr 6/27) I  ordered a twenty dollar radio that plugs into the wall and also runs on batteries, and I ordered ten pounds of peanuts. Order tub cleaner tomorrow morning.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am.
