Up 605am: Storms move into the area after 8am, then cloudy and very humid with temps to low 80's. An intense heat wave forecast to begin tomorrow afternoon. Can't wait.

Watched 'COME AND SEE' (Kanopy).  An Art Film set in Belarus during the Nazi invasion of 1943...War is Hell, but what happens to the civilian population is much worse. I shut it down with 40 minutes left to go and I'll finish later today.

920am: The PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill. I want to get the FIVE MILES out of the way before they come to remove the chairs; 1pm-3pm.

930am: FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; Watched 'THE FRANK MATTHEWS STORY: The Rise and Disappearance of America's Biggest Kingpin' (Amazon Prime). In the 70's and part of the 80's a black man living in Queens was the biggest supplier of America's heroin trade. The Italians had smuggled 95% of the heroin into this country through 'The French Connection' (suppliers in Marseilles, France). Mathews broke the Italian's monopoly and used South American heroin for his operation. The film says nobody knows what happened to Mathews, but Wikipedia says it was most probably the Italians who took him out because his testimony (if captured) could do inordinate damage to the Italian crime families.  

Finished 'COME AND SEE' (Kanopy). The film includes an unforgettable scene in which an entire village is burned alive in a dilapidated barn. In the final credits..."628 Belorussian villages were burnt to the ground with all their inhabitants". This is a classic 'Anti-War' film in that it graphically showcases the horror and madness of premeditated murder committed on a mass scale.

Finished 'ONE NIGHT IN IDAHO: The College Murders' (Amazon Prime). I started this several days ago and forgot to watch the last episode. From AI Overview: "Bryan Kohberger has pleaded guilty to the murders of four University of Idaho students in exchange for avoiding the death penalty. The Idaho judge recently lifted the gag order in the case, allowing for more public disclosure about the investigation and details surrounding the crime. The murders occurred in November 2022, and Kohberger was arrested in December of that year. Incel (Involuntary Celibacy)- a member of an online community of young men who consider themselves unable to attract women sexually, typically associated with views that are hostile toward women and men who are sexually active.

2pm: The PC is 'Off' and waiting for the guys from Habitat. I got an email from Janny with some good news and some disturbing news. Jonathan was admitted to the hospital with a very low blood count. This was completely out of the blue and he ended up on the same floor as Joe! I'm going to give Janny a call to find out what's up with The Brandenburgs.    

215pm: I talked with Janny about her adventures with Joe & Jon at St. Johns when I got a call from Habitat. I called her back and she said that during Jon's examination he admitted to taking edibles. She didn't know his dosages. They are still in the dark about the reasons for Jon's condition, but Joe is up & around and doing great. 

230pm- 245pm:  Took the 3 chairs out the front door with no problems. I called Furniture Row and they'll call tomorrow to arrange the pickup time on Wednesday. 

Reading 'FREAKY DEAKY'

The 2 guys next door finished removing the flora around the house. It's not really an improvement, but heading in the right direction. 

440pm: TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; 'Your Mom's House' with RYAN SICKLER

540pm: In the tub with 'FREAKY DEAKY' and listening to TONY LEVIN Playlist; BAD BRAINS Playlist; LED ZEPPELIN Playlist.
