Watched 'DISTURBIA' (Hoopla). A high school student punches his Spanish teacher and he's sentenced to wear an ankle bracelet while under home arrest. Soon, he notices a serial killer who happens to live down the street. A cracked idea that is completely implausible, but still kind of entertaining; with Shia La Beouf, David Morse, Carrie-Anne Moss, Sarah Roemer, Viola Davis. Directed by D.J. Caruso. "62" Metascore and I would go to "78". 

Watched 'PEDRO PARAMO' (Netflix). I endured 29 minutes of South American 'Magical Realism'...No.

Watched 'ZIAM' (Netflix).  I shut it down with 36 minutes left to go. A Thai Zombie film with lots of splatter, screaming & running and I'll probably finish it tonight...or not.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
