 Up 605am: Brutal heat & humidity with temps to mid 90's and 'Discomfort Index' to 115! 645am-715am: Assembled the steno chair with a minimum of problems. The recliner assembly is (tentatively) scheduled for later this afternoon. 

 Watched 'KINGMAKER' (Kanopy). The film is set in the turbulent political climate of South Korea during the late 60's. Democratic candidates are attempting to craft an election to vote out a dictatorship. A young political operative tries to bring about progressive change, but dirty tactics will be employed. I don't know how much of the film was actual Korean political history, or merely fiction. It wasn't terribly compelling, but still somewhat worth a look. 

 Began 'OMAR AND CEDRIC' (Kanopy). A profile of the two guys behind 'AT THE DRIVE-IN' and 'MARS VOLTA'. I watched half of the documentary and I'll save the last hour for tomorrow.

1220pm: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to hit the treadmill, and then assemble the downstairs recliner. I've removed the box and I'll have to bring it downstairs for assembly.

*** Unwrapped recliner & got pieces together downstairs. I quickly lost motivation because it's shaping up to be a major headache. The ottoman assembly is impenetrable. I might end up hiring a toolbelt commando.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
