Up 555am: Crushing heat & humidity with temps to low 90's and a threat of thunderstorms this afternoon. 

Watched 'MOZART'S SISTER' (Hoopla). In the mid 18th century The Mozarts were on a coach tour of various French estates to dazzle the royalty with their childrens' musical prowess. Nannerl Mozart is fourteen and her brother, Mozart is eleven and they are both child prodigies, but Nannerl's accomplishments are pushed aside because God did not intend for women to be composers or virtuosos. It's a (very) fictional account of the early life of Maria Anna Mozart who was nicknamed Nannerl. "71" Metascore and I would go to "83". An interesting observation: from 'Time Out': "The film's dogged repetitions regarding Nannerl's real-life raw deal dilute the reparative nature of the story after a while, and not even the movie's grainy, retro–art-cinema look can keep viewers from gradually tuning out."

Watched the final episode of 'CRIMINAL CODE' (Netflix). This was the Argentinian series about a robbery crew who wore white balaclavas during their heists. A classy Police Procedural with a feisty female cop and a taciturn and blunt policeman. Excellent locations and just the right amount of 'boom-boom'. 

1015am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then visit Planet Fitness. After the workout I'll hit Lay-Z-Boy for the recliner and maybe the typing chair. BUY BEER & SODA.

***245pm: The sky was pitch black in the west, so I decided to do the chair visit tomorrow. It looked so bad that I didn't stop for beer and soda. Heavy winds and rain but it ended by about 330pm.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
