Watched 'MY SON, MY SON, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?' (Amazon Prime). The tone is 'spooky strange' and concerns a man in San Diego who lives with his wife and his overbearing mother. He snaps and skewers mom with a Japanese Samurai sword and the SWAT team is called in. Insane Scene: The two detectives measure the distance between the walls and the coffee cups on a table in the living room adjacent to the body; with Michael Shannon, Willem Dafoe, Chloe Sevigny, Udo Kier, Michael Pena, Brad Dourif. "59" Metascore and I would easily boost this to "85". Directed by Werner Herzog, David Lynch- Executive Producer. 

Finished 'DELIRIUM' (Netflix). What an odd ending. She's happily reunited with her 'professor' husband and  her mental problems have miraculously disappeared.  'King Midas (The Drug Kingpin) basically hands Augustina over to the prof and then continues to evade the authorities. 

12pm: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to call State Farm about the roof, and then walk to Heartland for pot cash. Maybe grocery shopping later, but I wouldn't bet on it. 

1pm- 235pm: To Heartland...Parkview, Oakmont, Golf, Isles; $250 cash & back nearly same route;  FLOCK;  J.R.E.

Began 'DEUTSCHLAND 83' (Amazon Prime). I shut it down 20 minutes into the second episode. An East German intelligence service installs a young East German soldier as an aide-de- camp for a West German general. If he gathers information on the Americans his mother will receive life saving medical treatments. I'll definitely keep going on this German series from Amazon Prime.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
