Watched '12 STRONG' (Netflix).  In October of 2001 a dozen American Special Forces soldiers landed behind enemy lines in Afghanistan, saved The Northern Alliance, and handed the Taliban their worst defeat. What sets the film apart is that much of their campaign took place on horseback and it contains some amazing combat scenes where men on horses fight tanks and missiles. The Afghans controlled the ground and the US controlled the sky; with Chris Hemsworth, Michael Shannon, Michael Pena. "54" Metascore and I would go to "74".  

Finished 'WAYWARD' (Netflix). The trans couple have the baby, but did the 'cop' leave with the kid, or was that just his imagination? "The baby belongs to all of us".  It's got an ambiguous ending and the whole thing had a kind of 'TWIN PEAKS' vibe and buckets of 'intergenerational trauma'. They are up in the air about a second season. 

1140am: The PC is 'Off' and I'm going to spend some time getting the 'Your Spending Account' in order. I'd like to get it set up and then walk downtown to mail it. I'll most likely need to buy a larger mailer. 

***Decided to mail in the YSA receipts and walk downtown to the PO on Monroe. I spent about an hour on TSA paperwork & hardly worth the effort. A couple of hundred bucks with proper authentication, but the nine hundred plus for the crow, I only have the Visa receipt.  

135pm- 345pm: To downtown...Out Governor to Monroe PO & the streets are blocked off downtown for 'Route 66 Car Show; Back Edwards, Glenwood, Feldcamp, Wash.Pk northside, up the hill, Parkview, Kenyon, and down to 940...TWO HOURS; GOV'T MULE- 'Dose'; began ANDREW SANTINO on J.R.E. 

Began reading 'THE DEVIL'S PUNCHBOWL' by GREG ILES.  

540pm: In the tub with 'THE DEVIL'S PUNCHBOWL' and listening to THELONIOUS MONK- 'Criss-Cross'; ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND- 'Hittin' The Note'. 

Watched 'BREAKING POINTS'- Politician won't say that he won't take APAC money.  

More 'ROTTEN LEGACY' (Netflix). I shut it down 43 minutes into episode #7. There is about an hour left in the series and I'll finish it tomorrow morning.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
