I watered the front lawn for ten minutes.

Watched 'TREASURE' (Hoopla).  The odd premise is that a man in his sixties and his adult daughter take a trip to Lodz, Poland and visit the Auschwitz- Birkenau death camp. Some of the film was shot at Auschwitz and you can see the massive scale of the operation. 'Hogan's Heroes' it aint. The interplay with the cranky and overweight daughter and her oafish father (a death camp survivor) was only somewhat effective; with Lena Dunham, Stephen Fry. "44" Metascore and I would only go to "74". The film is based on an Australian novel called 'TOO MANY MEN' by Lily Brett. The book sounds more interesting than the film because they visit the death camp with the ghost of the dead Nazi Rudolf Hoss who was the commandant of Auschwitz.  

Watched 'The BADGE' (Hoopla). This is one that I had seen before and I remembered the crashed semi with the load of shoes that the local sheriff 'shares' with the townspeople. The premise is that a young woman is found dead at the scene of a semi crash and when the body was autopsied they noticed that 'she was a he'. Trans-sexual behavior in the Deep South is a difficult subject, but it was handled well. The victim was shot dead because they used the 'wrong' bathroom; with Billy Bob Thornton, Patricia Arquette, William Devane, Julie Hagerty, Jena Malone, Thomas Haden Church. Filmed in the communities of Baton Rouge, Donaldsonville, False River, New orleans.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
