Watched 'THE BATTLE OF ALGIERS' (Kanopy). It's a look at the political situation in the Casbah of Algiers immediately preceding Algeria's independence in 1962. The structure of the revolutionary cells were such that you only knew the person who initiated you and one other guy. While being interrogated & tortured you couldn't divulge any 'leaders' because you didn't know any. Released in 1966 and filmed in black & white, it almost felt like a documentary. Nominated for 3 Oscars; 9 wins & 8 nominations. "96" Metascore and I would put it at "89".

***1030am: I cracked the seal on a (3.5 g) bag of 'DIABLO'S HEARSE'- {High THC/ Sativa from 'Simply Herb'}.

Finished 'ROTTEN LEGACY' (Netflix). After it ended I watched a 13" YouTube video about the series. Good to hear that the reviewer also thought the series was confusing, and I think I understood about 75% of what was going on. I think that the reviewer only understood 85% of what went on.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
