Up 7am: Cloudy with a 70% chance of rain and temps to low 80's. Slightly less than a half inch of rain fell yesterday as measured by the rain gauge.

Watched 'THE ASSESSMENT' (Hoopla). In the not too distant future natural resources are meager, so a married couple must be 'assessed' by a representative of the government to see if they are qualified to have children. The Reveal: No one has passed in six years and the aim of the assessor is to 'prove' that a couple is NOT qualified to reproduce; with Alicia Vikander ('A ROYAL AFFAIR'), Elizabeth Olsen, Himesh Patel, Minnie Driver. "62" Metascore and I would go to "79". From 'IndieWire': "A compelling genre thriller that manages to build a world that feels both genuinely new and depressingly realistic if human society goes too far down the wrong path."  Filmed at Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain which is off the coast of Morocco and Western Sahara.  

Watched an episode of 'TERRORISM CLOSE CALLS' (Netflix). A profile of a 'homegrown' terrorist cell in Germany. Two members were Turkish and the rest German nationals. The authorities were hip to the plan and the hydrogen peroxide that the radicals bought was drastically diluted and harmless. 

1235pm: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to mow the lawn for the final time this season.  Today I'll mow down the flowers along the walk out front. I'll do four miles on the treadmill later this afternoon. 

1245- 2pm: The Lawn...Cutting down the flowers along the front walk was a snap and I trimmed some of the prairie grasses in the back. Mostly by cutting out the oak tree sprouts.

540pm: In the tub with 'MY SECRET HISTORY' and listening to DON CHERRY Playlist; DOOBIE BROTHERS- 'The Warner Years'; LESLIE WEST Playlist. 

Watched a 21" YouTube video- A nineteen year old man kills his mother and stepfather in front of his sisters ages four and sixteen. He was off his meds.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
