 Up 630am: Bright & sunny with temps to about 90. The heat wave begins and still no rain in sight.

Watched 'THE GUIDE TO THE PERFECT FAMILY' (Netflix). A French Canadian film about a family in crisis. THEME: 'Over-Parenting'- Parents with high expectations for their children sometimes do more harm than good. In this case, dad only wants the best for his seventeen year old daughter, but it's more like 'her life is his'. The daughter overdoses, almost dies, and this brings the family (at least the relationship between father and daughter) back together. The film lays it on a little thick, but it was (more or less) an enjoyable experience. Filmed in Quebec, Canada.  

More 'THE HUNTING WIVES' (Netflix). I finished episode #5 and the plot just keeps getting thicker. We still have no idea who killed the girl or why. It's taken from a novel by May Cobb and she uses her native East Texas as the backdrop for the 'eerie and noir-inspired story'.

1150am: Preparing for a visit to Esporta and then to Schnucks for beer, apples, soda.

1240pm:  To Esporta...45"Precor, 45"Treadmill, 30"Cross, 30"Recumbent Bike, 30"Precor;  watched 'ABDUCTED AT AN HBCU: A Black Girl Gone Missing Movie (Netflix)- A very average film about a female college student who gets trafficked.  Her female guidance counselor (an ex- Marine) saves the day; more 'LOVE CON REVENGE' (Netflix); began MIKE VECCHIONE on 'SODER'; finished 'KATRINA:  Hell or High Water' (Netflix).

545pm: In the tub with 'THE UP AND COMER' and listening to FREEDY JOHNSTON Playlist; CHARLIE DANIELS BAND Playlist.

Finished MIKE VECCHIONE on 'SODER'.

I got a prompt to 'restart' and it only took a couple of minutes. No difference in performance, as usual. 

More 'THE HUNTING WIVES' (Netflix). I shut it down 16 minutes into episode #7. I could finish this tomorrow morning.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
