Watched 'A WOLF AT THE DOOR' (Amazon Prime).  It's a truly powerful film that begins as a kidnapping, yet soon evolves into something very different. On a typical weekday a young girl is pulled out of school, yet mom and dad don't know the woman who arrived at the school for their daughter. Soon the police are involved and later the film shifts into a detailed study of the torrid affair between the young girl's father and his lover. It's a very well written character study about people entangled in a very passionate love triangle. She got rejected and she got revenge.  Filmed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. "67" Metascore and I would easily go to "84".  

More 'ABANDONED: The Woman In The Decaying House' (Amazon Prime). I shut it down with 30" left and I'll finish it tonight.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
