***The constipation issue is noticeably better. I haven't eaten rice in a couple of days and the 'blockage' seems to be dissipating. I'll continue to eat exactly the same things for the next few days; apples, oatmeal in the morning, tuna casserole at night. 

Weekly Cleaning

Watched 'THE WOMAN IN CABIN 10' (Netflix). A billionaire's wife is dying of cancer and he invites a large group of socialites on a luxury cruise to Norway to 'celebrate her life'. He learns that his wife is going to cut him out of her fortune so he throws her overboard and he has a 'duplicate' wife to play his spouse and sign a new will that makes him the sole beneficiary. A female journalist puts it together, but everyone on the ship seems to be gaslighting her. None of this is even the most remotely plausible, although it was fun to learn at 'IMDB Trivia' that the huge yacht cost $150 million; with Keire Knightley, Guy Pearce. "44" Metascore and I could only go to "68". It did have one memorable line..."I've been clean and serene since 1917".

Watched 'SUNDAY BEST:The Untold Story of Ed Sullivan' (Netflix).  The documentary is more about Ed's contribution to the civil rights movement than his television show. It's crazy that Sullivan personally selected 100% of the acts that appeared on the show. When the show began in the fifties, he was able to give vaudevillians a chance to be seen by American audiences.  When he began featuring black artists (Apollo Theater) people were afraid that the entire American South would turn off their TV's. The governor of Georgia felt that any show that featured black artists was some kind of a communist conspiracy and was a direct threat to 'the white race'.  The Black dancer Bill Robinson was the inspiration for 'Bojangles'.

12pm: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to walk in Washington Park. I'm not sure if I'll take a slice of gummy. Another pleasant experience with 'drinkable THC'. It hits much quicker than a gummy and feels more like the experience of smoking.

***A chilling post on Nextdoor: A car is broken into and a wallet is found but credit and debit cards are not removed. The cards are just photographed so that the person who owns the cards might not cancel. It gives the thieves more time to try to use the card numbers. 

More 'ANGELA' (Netflix). I shut it down 11 minutes into episode #4. A classy tale of 'Gaslighting'. Now, it looks like the hitman was in on the scam and the woman's story is taken directly from the plot of a novel that police found in her library. The author of this book has the same name as her hitman. Has she lost her mind (like her mom) or is someone really plotting against her?

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
