Weekly Cleaning

Watched 'TAKEN IN PLAIN SIGHT' (Netflix). A mom and her young teenage daughter stop at a highway rest stop and the girl is kidnapped. Mom can't 'move on' and six months later she miraculously locates the abductor and the old lady who was the brains of the 'kidnapping couple'. This might be the lamest Abduction Genre film that I've ever seen. I should have nixed it as soon as I learned that it was a Lifetime production. The film is set in Michigan, but filmed in Mississauga, Ontario, a neighboring city of Toronto, Canada. 

Watched the first few moments of 'TOUCH' (Amazon Prime- leaving in four days).  Too intense and I'll put it first tomorrow morning. 
Watched 'PARKER' (Amazon Prime). I knew this was familiar. 'Parker' is a fictional character created by Donald E. Westlake under the pseudonym Richard Stark. There are 28 novels in the series and "Parker has almost no traditional redeeming qualities, aside from efficiency and professionalism." The film's executive producer is Robert Downey, Jr. This is very well written, flippant, and droll. I shut it down with 45 minutes left and I'll finish it tomorrow morning....after 'TOUCH' (Amazon Prime). 

***Constipated & relieved 1230pm and the stool seems too firm. Took a deep & satisfying dump at 530pm. 

1245pm: The PC is 'Off' and another walk on the treadmill is on the agenda.

105pm:  FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; watched 'TRUTH OR DARE: The Murder of Mary Gregory' (Amazon Prime)- A 94 year old woman is burned alive by her step grandson.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
