805am - Big truck from Menards backed into their driveway to make a delivery to the house where the girl plays volleyball. 

Watched 'WIND CHILL' (Netflix). A weird ghost story that begins with a misdirection. You think you're watching a film about a female college student who has taken a ride-share with someone she doesn't know. The boy is to take her home from her college in Pennsylvania to her home in Delaware for the holidays.  However, the film is actually about a remote stretch of highway that 'entraps' random motorists during the holiday season. A whacky premise, but some of it was too absurd. In the middle of a snowstorm the girl decides to climb a telephone pole to 'give a landline to call 911'. Why didn't she just grow wings and fly for help? Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney were a couple of Executive Producers; with Emily Blunt, Ashton Holmes, Martin Donovan. Filmed in Peachland, Summerland, and Westbank, B.C., Canada. 50 miles from the Canadian border in Washington, USA.

Watched 'EMILY THE CRIMINAL' (Netflix). I had seen this one before and remembered the basics. Due to a bad set of circumstances, a hardworking young woman turns to larceny to escape a rigged system; with Aubrey Plaza (she was terrific!), Theo Rossi, Gina Gershon (in a single scene where she defends 'term' employees). "75" Metascore and I would boost that to "88".  A big 'Two Thumbs Up'.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
