Watched 'TIME TO HUNT' (Netflix). A crew of hoodlums successfully rob an illegal gambling operation, but then they must deal with the violent psychopath who tracks them down. Only one of the gang manages to start a new life in an island paradise. However, in the final scene we learn that 'he's going back' to confront the sadistic enforcer. This signals that there will be a sequel featuring more gunfights with some of the worst shots in cinema and a degree of 'realism' you'd expect to find in a comic book. Filmed in Incheon, South Korea. 

Finished 'AS YOU STOOD BY' (Netflix). I absolutely did not foresee this ending. The two women 'do the time', but the length of sentence is not specified. When they are both released (probably a few years has passed) the women relocate to Vietnam with their rich benefactor and open flourishing businesses. The series was a shot of cheesy melodrama straight to the heart and I liked it. 

Watched 'THOMAS HARDY: FATE,EXCLUSION & TRAGEDY' (Amazon Prime: 48"). He lived from the mid 19th century to the early 20th. He was married to Emma, but had numerous non-sexual attractions to various women. However, when his wife died in 1912, she was the only woman he wrote about in his poems and novels.  Skipped the last 15 minutes of the documentary.

540pm: In the tub with NO WEED because I am waiting on a phone call & with 'TERMS OF ENDEARMENT  and listening to COLEMAN HAWKINS Playlist; Talked on the phone for the entire bath with Janny about their adventures on East Lake Drive. I don't know if they have a case. VICTIM STATEMENT: "The other cars drove around us' is very different from 'the other cars BARELY drove around us". Are you always responsible for what is directly in front of you regardless of lighting conditions or external factors?

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home.
