Watched 'THE COMPANY MEN' (Hoopla). It begins as an expose of the psychic horror of being downsized from an upper class suburban lifestyle to living with your parents...with your wife and two kids in tow. Then it turns into a false fable about capitalism rising from the ashes and continuing to provide wonderful benefits for one and all. The 'suits' who were previously terminated form a company and magically reopen an abandoned shipyard with nothing more than hard work, determination, and enthusiasm. The government is never mentioned as a factor, let alone a solution; with Ben Affleck, Chris Cooper, Tommy Lee Jones, Maria Bello. "69" Metascore and I would go to "77".  Filmed primarily around Boston and its suburbs; Quincy, Framingham, Wellesley, and Roxbury.

Watched 'THE COMEDY' (Hoopla). Probably the most abrasive comedy that I've seen in a while. Maybe they were aiming for a white Dave Chapelle? It's a day in the life of a spoiled 35 year old trust fund kid. Not much plot or character development, but it's more of a chance to underscore the brilliance of Hipster Comedy of the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. Either you appreciate the cutting wit and sarcasm, or you are deeply offended. I appreciated it. 

Finished an episode  of '35 SERIAL KILLERS' (Amazon Prime)- 'The Granny Killer' operated in the late 80's in Australia. He followed defenseless old women in the upscale suburbs of Sydney and then hit them over the head with a claw hammer. He was old himself, worked as a pie maker and seemed helpful with the elderly and did not seem to fit the mold of 'serial killer'. 

1250pm: The PC is 'Off' and I don't know whether to walk outside or hit the treadmill. I'm constipated and I want to get in the exercise and then check out the bong store across from Fairhills. Treadmill today and sidewalks tomorrow...

110pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; watched a '48 HOURS' (Amazon Prime)- Man freed from a Louisiana prison for a rape & murder after ten years. His confession was made under duress & no physical evidence linking him to the scene; a 'LAST WEEK TONIGHT'- many topics including Marijuana Reform.

540pm: In the tub with 'BLUE CALHOUN' and listening to GRAHAM PARSONS Playlist; ROLLING STONES- 'Exile on Main Street'; GRATEFUL DEAD- 'Live Madison'.

Finished CHRISTINA P. on 'ARE YOU GARBAGE?' and began NATE BARGATZE with Kevin & H. Foley.

More 'SCANDAL EVE' (Netflix). I shut it down 32 minutes into episode #5. There's about an hour left in the series and I will finish it tomorrow morning.

Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
