A foolish contraption (although it produces a punch) and I only got a couple of monster hits and not even a handful of smoke is held in the chamber. Watched 'LATIN BLOOD: THE BALLAD OF NEY MATOGROSSO' (Netflix). A biopic about an actual Brazilian rock star in the mold of David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, or Liberace. The premise is a little too simplistic and blames all of the singer's sexually scandalous outrageousness on his authoritarian father. Dad tried to lay down the law, so he decided to disobey in every conceivable way. The film would have been a lot better if they had provided subtitles for the singer's lyrics. The lyrics to the songs would definitely have helped to explain his character, but I had no idea what he was singing about.   

Began 'CITY OF SHADOWS' (Netflix). I shut it down 20 minutes into the second episode. I'll be back on this one tonight.  The film features buildings by the famous Catalonian Modernist architect, Antoni Gaudi. The surreal building where a man is hung and then burned alive is called, 'La Pedrera'(Casa Mila)'. 

1150am: The PC is 'Off' and preparing for a visit to Esporta.

1220pm: To Esporta...45"Precor, 45"Treadmill, 30"Cross, 15"Recumbent Bike, 15"Precor...TWO HOURS AND 30 MINUTES;  watched 'BREAKDOWN:  1975' (Netflix)- An insightful look at the brilliance of American cinema in the 1970's; watched documentary 'FORGET US NOT' (Amazon Prime)- The Germans had 1,500 camps & Dachau was first in 1936; more THEO VON on J.R.E.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
