Finished 2 series-  'THE TOWN' (Netflix). The action took place in the Turkish neighborhood of Edirne province in northwestern Turkey near the border with Greece. 

'THE LINCOLN LAWYER' (Netflix). Mickey's client didn't kill the real estate baron, but she did kill her ex husband. She buried her ex-husband's body in the flower garden at her house and if the land was sold and redeveloped, the body would be found. That's why she was protesting new development in the area of her home and restaurant. The movie was so much better than this series, but still worth a look. 

845am: The PC is off and I decided to drive over to the credit union for Xmas cash: $150.00. Maybe do a long walk outside this afternoon.   

905am to Heartland Credit Union and home by 925am. Six twenties and six fives for one and all...Ho Ho Ho. The complementary Tootsie Rolls at the credit union are one third of their former size! 

Watched 'THE MAKING OF A JAPANESE' (Kanopy). It's a documentary about the school year of 2021 (The COVID Pandemic) in a Japanese elementary school; grades 1- 6. The kids are graded &  judged by how hard they work for the good of the group rather than themselves. I can't believe that this is a public school. It's far too Orwellian for western attitudes, but it seems to have some positives. The kids serve lunch, run the public address system, clean the school building and learn competitive jump roping.  One negative, however is that Japan has a big problem with suicide and kids. The competitive atmosphere might encourage bullying and this could be a reason for the abnormally high suicide rate. The kids were achingly earnest and very cute (even with the unforgivable COVID masks).

540pm In the tub with 'THE HUNGER' and listening to ERIC DOLPHY Playlist; FABULOUS THUNDERBIRDS- 'Tuff Enuff'; THE FIRM Playlist. 

Finished KEVIN RYAN & H. FOLEY on PAUL VIRZI and began 'SECULAR TALK' (with Krystal Ball).

More 'MAD UNICORN'(Netflix). I shut it down 7 minutes into the final episode and about sixty minutes remain and I'll finish this tomorrow morning. FUN FACT: The series is loosely based on Komsan Lee, the founder of Thailand's first unicorn startup, FLASH EXPRESS.

Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home.
