Watched 'VULCANIZADORA' (Kanopy). It's a profile of a male relationship that's more sad than funny, but it works. The two guys are in a suicide pact that involves placing an M80 firecracker (maybe larger) in their mouths and lighting the fuses together. One of them gets his head blown off and the other one must deal with the guilt. Filmed in Grand Rapids and Manistee, Michigan (on Lake Michigan).  "82" Metascore and I'll go with that. 

Finished 'SCANDAL EVE' (Netflix). It ends a little heavy on the moralizing. The warning is that the owners of media conglomerates should not slant the news and social commentary to support their interests. How are they gonna stop them? The best thing about this series was the costumes, but it was still worth a look. 

Began 'AMSTERDAM EMPIRE' (Netflix). I shut it down 15 minutes into the first episode. A melodrama about the guy who opened the first legal 'cannabis bar' and went on to own the world's largest cannabis operations. It's a fictional series, but it could be real. 

1145am: The PC is 'Off' and preparing for an afternoon at Planet Fitness. Then beer, soda, apples, USB wall charger, big beautiful bong.

More 'AMSTERDAM EMPIRE' (Netflix). I finished episode #2. I don't understand why the cops are busting the growers when it's legal to buy and smoke cannabis in the 'pot cafes'. How are the retailers able to sell it if it's illegal for growers to grow it? Where are they supposed to get it? However, melodrama is more to the point of this show. I'm hooked.

Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home.
