Watched 'ELOA THE HOSTAGE: LIVE ON TV' (Netflix). The incident happened in the municipality of Santo Andre, Brazil which is part of the Metropolitan Region of Sao Paulo. The kidnapper believed that he wouldn't get out alive and all he wanted to do was to stay with the girl that he loved. The fact that she had left him months before did not matter. The narrative changed from 'A Domestic Violence Issue' to 'A Man Blinded By Love'. After 100 hours the police broke into the apartment and the perp shot his girlfriend and later she died. He got 98 years and the authorities blamed the media.

Finished 'THE TINDER SWINDLER' (Netflix). An Israeli man bilks various women for millions in an international Ponzi scheme. He manipulates a woman to loan him large sums of money and he uses it to wine, dine, & charm other women to fall for the same request for money. He was sentenced to fifteen months, yet he only served five. He's a free man living in Israel and pulling the same 'Love Shakedown' today.  

Began 'THE STAIRCASE' (Netflix). I shut it down 32 minutes into the first episode and I'll continue this series at Planet Fitness. 

11am: The PC is 'Off' and preparing for a visit to Planet Fitness. It looks like the snow begins about 4pm, so I hope to be home by then. [Began around 4pm and an inch by 5pm. Predicted to snow all night & several inches are expected].

1120am: To Planet Fitness... 45"Cross, 45"Treadmill, 30"Recumbent Bike, 45"Cross; began 'THE STAIRCASE' (Netflix)- A woman dies after falling down a flight of stairs. Did she fall or was it a beating? ; more 'CHAOS'...TWO HOURS AND 45 MINUTES.

***1st time with the Bose SoundLink Flex portable speaker. 100% improved bass sound. No problem pairing. Actually, it's an incredible and dramatic boost in quality and fidelity. I was going to save the old speaker, but I've decided to pitch it because it's too far gone even for my less than perfect ears.

Finished KEN SCOTT on RICK BEATO & began TUCKER CARLSON on THEO VON.

More 'THE STAIRCASE' (Netflix). I shut it down 3 minutes into episode #5. This is based on the documentary about the same case. I knew it was familiar and this one gives you a look at the incident both as a 'murder' and a 'fall'. Both seem very believable.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
