Watched 'HOUNDS' (Hoopla). A clever & dark comedy about a father and son who kidnap a man over a dispute over a dog and the guy accidently dies in their trunk. The film documents their crazy night as they desperately try to 'get rid of the body'. It's grim, wry and sardonic.  The drunk's bar tab was $300 Moroccan dirhams and that's about $32.60 usd.  Filmed in Casablanca, Morocco.

***When I tried to open Amazon Prime Music it said that the system was 'not compatible with my browser' and I should try Chrome....Only, I was using Chrome. A tip said to try to run it in Incognito Mode and this worked. Why? (In the evening when I opened the browser downstairs, no problem with Amazon Prime).

Watched 'THE ICEMAN' (Netflix).  I didn't know anything about this film and was pleasantly surprised. It's an oddly engaging 'gangster noir' with an interesting cast; Michael Shannon, Chris Evans, James Franco, Winona Ryder, Ray Liotta, David Schwimmer. "60" Metascore and I would go to "75".  This is the story of Richard Kuklinski who was a contract killer for the mob who lived with his wife and kids in New Jersey. His family was not involved or even knew about his illegal activities. He was nicknamed 'The Iceman' for his cold blooded attitude and also because he would freeze bodies after he killed them. This would confuse the police as to the time of death. Later, his dark deeds forever destroyed his pristine life in the suburbs. He killed as many as one hundred people and got two life sentences and died in prison of a heart attack in 2005. This was an innovative approach to the usual profile of a sociopath...  "I only feel alone around other people".

Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
