Watched 'REAWAKENING' (Hoopla)....."What Truth Matters Most". A young teenage girl from Manchester has been missing for ten years and she suddenly returns home. Mom accepts the 'daughter', but dad suspects that she is not his child. In the end the parents accept the charade because it gives meaning to their lives. The girl who posed as their daughter actually wanted a stable homelife and the 'parents' only wanted to provide a loving household, so both parties had much to gain. This was a very different take on a 'missing person' tale; with Jared Harris, Juliet Stevenson, Erin Doherty.  

More 'THE TOWN' (Netflix). Filmed near Edirne, Türkiye which is in the northwest part of the country near the border with Bulgaristan.  Around 2022- 2023 they did change the name from 'Turkey' to 'Turkiye' to avoid confusion with the bird.  I finished episode #7 and there are only 34 minutes left in the series. Reading 'THE LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST'

540pm: In the tub finished  'THE LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST' and began 'THE HUNGER' by Whitley Strieber and  listening to FUNKADELIC- 'Best of'; GOLDEN PALOMINOS- 'Visions of Excess'; GREGG ALLMAN Playlist.

Began 'MAD UNICORN' (Netflix). I shut it down 11 minutes into the second episode. A young man teams with a billionaire to launch a cheaper delivery operation like FedEx or UPS for the people of Thailand. It's a bit corny, but a series without cops, white powders, car chases, and gunfights is a pleasant change of pace.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
