Watched 'PSYCHO THERAPY: THE SHALLOW TALE OF A WRITER WHO DECIDED TO WRITE ABOUT A SERIAL KILLER' (Kanopy). It's an oddball Film Noir Black Comedy set in NYC. An eccentric author is approached by a 'retired' serial killer to collaborate on a book. The author's wife believes that they are conspiring to kill her when she learns that the 'therapist' is not their marriage counselor; with Steve Buscemi, Britt Lower, John Magaro. "54" Metascore. {A Metascore reviewer gave it '100' and another gave it a '"20"}....."His greatest strength is his ability to deny reality". 

***930am & back by 10am: Began warming the car for a trip to the County Market for cabbage.  Very few people were in the store and I was sure that it would be mobbed. The temps are in the single digits for the next several days, so I want to make sure that I have no need to leave. 

Finished 'LOUDER THAN YOU THINK' (Fandor). Gary Young looked really bad at the end of the documentary and according to Wikipedia he died in August of 2023. Strange But True: Pavement was a  bigger band years after they broke up then they ever were when they were making records and touring. How much did Gary hold the band back and how much did he add to create their popularity and image?

Almost finished 'INSPECTOR ROJAS' (Amazon Prime). I'll save the final hour for tonight.

Began 'FREE BERT' (Netflix). It's odd that I've never heard of this Netflix series since Kriescher seems to be close friends with the top tier of popular comedians (ex. Gillis, Rogan, Normand, Segura). Wouldn't somebody  have at the very least mentioned it? Maybe because they think he's a hack?  I think the wheel has turned for both him and Segura, although Segura's Netflix show was infinitely better than Bert's. I watched the first 25" episode and I doubt if I'll be back.

1240pm: The PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill.

Watched JEFF ROSS on a very early episode of 'GETTING DOUG WITH HIGH'.

Finished 'INSPECTOR ROJAS' (Amazon Prime). The series is based on an actual Chilean serial killer. He buried the girls' bodies near where he would take his family for outings in the desert. The location for this film was unbelievable and the most noteworthy aspect of the project. There are colorful desert sand dunes on one side and the ocean on the other and in between there is a sprawling slum with randomly placed high rises and resort hotels.

Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
