Began watching 'GODFATHER: THE DEATH OF MICHAEL CORLEONE' (Hoopla- 2 hrs. 37"). I watched 1 hr. 24" of it and I'll save the remaining 1 hr. 13" for tomorrow. This doesn't come close to the first two films, in fact this is almost a parody.   

Watched 'BOOM' (Kanopy). I was totally unaware that 'The Sonics' reformed in 2008 and were infinitely more famous than they were the first time around. By the early 70's the guys in the band had stopped playing their instruments and dropped any dreams of success in music. Yet forty years later they enjoyed playing to sold out houses all over the world. 

Began 'INSPECTOR ROJAS' (Amazon Prime). Teenage girls are missing and a detective from Santiago is brought in to solve the disappearances that local authorities have chosen to ignore..."They ran away to become prostitutes and the reason they haven't remained in town is that they don't want to shame their families". Alto Hospicio, Chile is a municipality in the northern part of the country and Iquique is the coastal city where the action happens. This one looks good and I shut it down with six minutes left in episode #1. 

12pm: The PC is 'Off' and preparing for a visit to Esporta. I called and they said that it depends on how many people are using the wifi- more users, less coverage. They haven't considered beefing up the signal. 

1240pm: To Esporta...45"Precor, 45"Treadmill 30"Cross, 30"Recumbent Bike, 30"Precor...THREE HOURS; watched 'BONE LAKE' (Netflix)- Two couples mistakenly rent a bed & breakfast for the same weekend.  One couple was actually brother and sister who lived as boyfriend & girlfriend and were testing the 'true love feelings' of the other couple. Lame & needlessly bloody; watched a YouTube video about Owsley's relationship to the Grateful Dead; began 'THE CHURCH OF WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW'; more 'SOUTHLAND' (Netflix).

Reading 'STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND'

540pm: In the tub with 'STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND' and listening to LITTLE FEAT Playlist all session. 

Watched part of a YouTube visit to a California pot shop with Margaret of Senior Savvy Cannabis. I'm going to try to order some 100 mg Sativa pills. I think it is a much better format than candy.

More 'INSPECTOR ROJAS' (Amazon Prime). I shut it down 4 minutes into the third episode. The connection between the missing girls is that they all went to the same school and had an interest in volleyball. I'll bet it's their coach.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
