Watched 'DRUG WAR' (Fandor). I didn't understand almost any of the plot, but I still really liked it. The film concerns a former drug kingpin who is working with authorities to expose his and other drug syndicates (?). The film features rusty trucks loaded with pails of deadly illegal drugs followed and chased by dented clunkers through dreary industrial landscapes.  The movie pounds home a strong anti drug theme in a ham-fisted manner, however the last few scenes of the film are a captivating ballet of choreographed violence. Chinese Drug War propaganda? Filmed in Tianjin, China which is adjacent to Beijing. "86" Metascore and that's where I'd put it. 

***For some unknown reason I decided to throw out Buddy's canned food. For months I had been meaning to donate it to a cat shelter, but now it's far too old; ['Buddy's Gone'- Fr 10/11/24]

Watched the final episode of 'THE WONDERLAND MASSACRE' (Amazon Prime). Scott Thorson, Liberace's driver/ boyfriend died in 2024 and the film is dedicated to him. Eddie Nash got less than three years for RICCO violations and was never convicted for any involvement in the murders on Wonderland. 

1240pm: The PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill.

105pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; 15 minute YouTube video about the horror of cannabis addiction;  15 minute YouTube video about Bob Weir & Sammy Hagar (?); began MARK NORMAND on 'TYSO'.

More 'LUDEN' (Amazon Prime). I shut it down 7 minutes into the fourth episode. The series is based on real events. The GMBH was a pimp syndicate that dominated the Reeperbahn, Hamburg in the 70's- 80's. The GMBH's primary rivalry in the early 1980s was with the "Nutella Gang" (Nutella-Bande), a group of younger, flashier pimps led by Klaus Barkowsky.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am.
