Weekly Cleaning

Watched 'GOOD NEWS' (Netflix). Based on a true incident: 'Japan Airlines Flight 351 hijacking'. It's a strange subject for a 'comedy/satire' and highlights the difficulty of making a funny movie with universal appeal. Something very specific to South Koreans doesn't carry over too well, although this one was close. Reading about the real incident I learned that much of the movie was true. Authorities really did land the plane in South Korea and convinced the hijackers that they were in North Korea. The kidnappers were a small group of young Japanese communists who wanted to start a world-wide anti-capitalist revolution with Japan at the epicenter. This, of course, never happened.   

Watched more 'FREE BERT' (Netflix). Kriescher looks totally unhealthy and at least 40 pounds overweight. Also, the character that he is playing (himself) is completely without redeeming qualities. Even though I find Tom Segura even less appealing as an individual, his series was very funny and Bert's travesty isn't worth a YouTube release.  

1150am: The PC is 'Off' and preparing for a visit to Planet Fitness and then to Schnucks for apples, eggs, peanuts, Cheez- It crackers.

1230pm: To Planet  Fitness...45"Cross, 45"Treadmill, 30"Recumbent Bike, 30"Cross"...TWO HOURS AND 30 MINUTES;  watched 'BUNNY' (Netflix)- Silly situations in lower Manhattan involving two dead bodies and a variety of contemporary artistic types. The film is more odd than interesting & barely worth a look; more of JOHN MELLENCAMP on J.R.E; began JOE LIST on 'WE MIGHT BE DRUNK'.

To Schnucks: 2 bags of apples, large Peter Pan crunchy peanut butter, jar of peanuts, generic Cheez-Its, eggs- Total $27.00.

Season #2 'THE ACCIDENT' (Netflix). I remember that this was a superior series, but I only remember that it kicked off with an accidental death in a 'bouncy house' at a young kid's party.  This incident shatters the lives of numerous families and individuals. The series was filmed in the state of Queretaro, Mexico which is about 150 miles northwest of Mexico City. I shut it down 18 minutes into the second episode. It's not nearly as compelling as season #1.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer.
