Watched 'HAQ' (Netflix). It's hard to believe that this very important Indian court case dragged through the court system for nearly twenty years. The Case:  After a contested divorce a husband arbitrarily denies his ex wife any child care and according to one interpretation of Sharia Law this is perfectly acceptable. When the wife sues, the lower courts say that this is a religious issue and doesn't belong in a secular court. The defense maintains that a devout Muslim husband controls every aspect of the family and that he is only following Sharia Law. It took decades, but Indian courts granted women equal protection under the law. The film is slow and deliberately paced, and the implications are scary. This is the kind of absolute religious power in the secular sphere that bible-thumping numbskulls in America are seeking today. 

More of 'THE RISE AND FALL OF VERSAILLES' (Amazon Prime). I shut it down 26 minutes into episode #2. The focus is on Louis XV who became king as a preteen and made Louis XIV excesses seem tame. Although, he was lucky in war and restored some of France's position among reigning powers of Europe. 

Wrote a short birthday reply and I also locked down my anti-fraud policy. I should call and find out if I should turn on more areas of protection.

I wonder how that happened because I don't know how to do it; watched 'THE DYATLOV MYSTERY: UNEXPLAINED MASSACRE- I'm not sure if they proved the avalanche theory; YouTube video of ROBERT DE NERO on BILL MAHER. 45"Precor, 45"Treadmill, 30"Cross, 15"Recumbent Bike, 30"Precor...TWO HOURS AND 45 MINUTES.

More 'TELL ME YOUR NAME' (Amazon Prime). I shut it down 14 minutes into episode #3. Using the Koran to expel evil spirits (Djinn) is something I don't think that I've ever seen. Usually it's the Catholics who have the lock on the subject of expelling demons. According to the internet, 'Djinn' are about the same as 'poltergeists' or 'playful spirits'.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer.
