Watched 'THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO' (Hoopla- 2024 French version). A superior film based on the classic French novel of 'Cosmic Justice & Divine Revenge'. The work was first published as a serial in the French newspaper Le Journal des Debats between 1844 and 1846. "76" Metascore and I would go to 85". From SCREEN DAILY: "This is a devilishly handsome old-school tale of treachery and intrigue that zips through its nearly three hours in a blur of swordplay, glorious costumes and prosthetic rubber facial disguises."  

Watched 'HONEY DON'T' (Netflix). It's a very arch and somewhat clumsy spoof on the 'hard-boiled, no-nonsense & very masculine' Private Detective genre. Because in this case, the tough talking PI is a woman and she 'likes girls'. The local pastor believes that his followers should not 'be like macaroni' and that god encourages attractive female members of the congregation to 'submit' to sex with him; with Margaret Qualley, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Evans. Directed and co-written by Ethan Coen. "46" Metascore and I would boost that to "76"... "funny mock escapist thriller".   

1250pm: The PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill.

125pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT;  began audiobook 'GRAVE DANGER' by JAMES GRIPPANDO.

Got a restart request and it only took a few minutes. Before the restart the 'start' for Google worked fine, however after the 'restart' it's back to being slow. It's just for the beginning of NPR Classical and it's OK after ten or fifteen seconds. 

Wasting time on the Secret Nature site about disposable vapes and then more of 'CHURCH OF WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW'. 

More 'IN THE MUD' (Netflix). I shut it down 49 minutes into episode #5. It doesn't take itself too seriously and some of the 'girls' are funny and harrowing.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am.
