Up 645am: Cloudy with storms predicted for this afternoon and tonight and temps to about 80.

***Just as I began the film I noticed a prompt for a 'restart'. This was the update that produced the black & white frizzy distortion on the downstairs PC. This morning's update was completely ordinary and no 'snow squall', but big anxiety. 

Watched 'THE GIANT FALLS' (Netflix). A father has terminal cancer and visits his adult son who he has not seen or spoken to in twenty-eight years ago. He wants to 'reconnect' with the son and the boy's mother, who was the love of his life. The son gives him poison (assisted suicide from the neighborhood 'shaman') so that he can end his life with dignity, and everyone lives happily ever after. The young man was cited by the police for beating his father, and if the old man goes missing he would be a prime suspect in the disappearance.  However, the old man takes the drug, spends some quality time on the bridge railing, and then he jumps in.  I guess we're supposed to believe that the body would just disappear? Parts (best parts!) were filmed at Iguazu Falls, Argentina and this is where the son worked as a guide. The Iguazu Falls are located in the far northeastern part of Argentina near the borders of Paraguay and Brazil. A dumb film (yet somewhat engaging) that requires complete suspension of disbelief. 

Began 'THE PREDATOR OF SEVILLE' (Netflix). I finished the first episode and I'll continue the series on the treadmill this afternoon. 

1150am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to walk on the treadmill and then hit County Market for cookies/pies/cake for Sunday's bash. I might wait until tomorrow so that the treats would be fresher, but maybe there won't be much of a selection because they're sold out for Easter. {I didn't go}   

1210pm:  FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; finished the second episode of 'THE PREDATOR OF SEVILLE' (Netflix)- A cunning guy who probably believes he's all about sex, but it's actually about control, manipulation, and domination;  more 'RAGE AND THE REPUBLIC'...(I've been calling this 'RAGE AND THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION', but that was a mistake).

540pm:  In the tub with 'THE LATHE OF HEAVEN' and listening to PAUL SIMON Playlist; PERE UBU Playlist; ADRIAN BELEW- 'Twang Bar King'.

More VINCE VAUGHN on THEO VON and watched a couple of weed YouTube videos about the latest- Texas has banned all sales of smokable weed. Their governor is a true asshole because now the state gets no taxes on the sale of weed and it drives all the customers to support illegal enterprises.

Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
