Up 630am: Cloudy & breezy with temps to low 80's.

Watched 'A DAY TO DIE' (Netflix). I could only watch 5 minutes of this and I can usually endure almost anything, but Bruce Willis in one of his final roles was too much to bear. His entire performance took only two days, according to IMDB. It looks like most of his scenes were just him alone, and then they 'cut & paste' to create his interaction with the other actors. Willis is supposed to look concerned & engaged, but actually he comes off as confused & disoriented. Did Bruce Willis need the money that badly? 

Watched 'FIRST REFORMED' (Netflix). This film was a complete mind-blower.  It's top-heavy with acute moral and social issues that seem to beg for examination. Everything from abortion, environmental stewardship, and the morality of political opinions expressed from the pulpit are addressed, yet no real answers are given. 'Wisdom' is the ability to entertain two diametrically opposed points of view simultaneously. The sexual tension that had been ignored or concealed, roars to life in the final scene. Maybe it means that the only reality is what we can see and feel; with Ethan Hawke, Amanda Seyfried, Cedric The Entertainer. Nominated for 1 Oscar; 62 wins & 108 nominations. "86" Metascore and I would go to "93".

THE GUARDIAN: "First Reformed is a deeply felt, deeply thought picture; impressive in its seriousness and often gripping in the way it frames itself as a debate and a sermon."     

More 'SEVEN FIGURES' (Netflix). I finished the fourth episode and I'm totally hooked. The series is set in Givatayim which is an area adjacent to Tel Aviv. What a wild storyline and I wonder if this feels as odd to people who live in Israel.  

Will do The Chat and then attack the lawn...if the mower starts. 

1230pm: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to 'police' the lawn, remove the excess leaves on the garage side, and then mow the fucking lawn. [The mower started with one pull & and all the anxiety for nothing].

1240pm- 140pm: Mowed front & back including the front lawn next door; added the leaves by the garage to the pile under the tulip tree in back; cut back some of the 'brush' in the back flower beds. Next Challenge:  To paint the front stoop. 

Reading 'PHANTOM' 

430am:  THREE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; watched most of a FLEETWOOD MAC doc, 'THE STORY OF FLEETWOOD MAC' (Amazon Prime)- very bland, but I learned that when Green was in the band they had 3 guitar players, 1 bass, and 1 drummer; Christine McVeigh played keyboards.

540pm:  In the tub with 'PHANTOM' and listening to REM Playlist; RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS- 'Freaky Styley'; GRATEFUL DEAD- 'Live Amazon Music'.

Watched more 'SEVEN FIGURES' (Netflix).
