Watched '28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE' (Netflix). It's a kind of thinking man's look at a post-apocalyptic world where there is a holy war between Atheists, Satanists, and Zombies. The theme is that nobody can even remember the order & stability of civilized life and the evil inherent in mankind is unleashed & amplified; with Chi Lewis-Parry (he plays 'Samson' and the actor is 6'9"), Jack O'Connell (he plays 'Sir Jimmy Crystal' {The Son of Satan}), Ralph Fiennes (he plays 'Dr. Kelson' {Satan}, Cillian Murphy is in the final scene (uncredited) and paves the way for another installment. Written by Alex Garland. "81" Metascore and I would boost it to "90"..."Memento Mori" {Remember Death}.  FILM THREAT- "With Garland crafting the script and De Costa at the wheel, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple is a winner on all fronts. It is wildly entertaining, never predictable, and explores the clash between superstition and tradition versus hard science."    

Bright yellow dandelions (that were not there yesterday) appeared in full bloom in my yard and lots up the street. It' psychedelic springtime.   

Finished 'RADIOACTIVE EMERGENCY' (Netflix). The 'Goiania Accident' occurred on September 13, 1987 "after an unsecured radiotherapy source was found at an abandoned hospital site in the city. It was subsequently handled by many people, resulting in four deaths. About 112,000 people were examined for radioactive contamination and 249 of them were found to have been contaminated". The capsule only contained 3.3 oz of highly radioactive cesium chloride (cesium- 137).  The authorities were able to contain 6,000 tons of radioactive waste and after nearly 40 years the disposal sites are still secure.

A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
