735am (GB & B: 8/***Opened Today-' Green Apple Gas' (Sativa). 1040am (4-B: Hybrid Popcorn). 140pm (GB: 4/ Green Apple Gas). 550pm (GB: 6/ Hybrid Popcorn).
Up 540am {couldn't sleep}. Cloudy & breezy (chance of rain this afternoon) and temps to about 80.
I tried to write a positive review for AK CONTRACTING LLC and it was confusing. I think that I posted on their Facebook page, but I'm not certain. At least Adrian got the fifty dollar coupon at Menards.
945am : I got a call from Tyler 'Perfect Choice' just to ask how the job went. I gave Adrian a glowing (verbal) review. These guys are on top of their game because they understand that a follow-up call is always smart because it is good for future business. And, I am a 'Preferred Customer'...damn tootin'.
Watched 'ENDER'S GAME' (Tubi). Probably one of the most 'pro-war' films that I've ever seen in a long time. The Mormon author, Orson Scott Card manages to push his hawkish views that demand that the correct course of action always requires that 'winner take all' or 'zero sum game' because god is on our side. However, the lead character pushes back when he realizes that it should not mean 'win at any cost' because how you win that might be more important. And, of course, the only way to accomplish and learn a difficult task is to be bullied & threatened in a violent 'boot camp' situation. Watch the film and then, run, don't walk, to the nearest military recruitment center! That doesn't mean that I didn't like the film and the "51" Metascore seems awfully low and I would boost that to "81".
Called Hyundai and learned that the 'warranty has expired' letter was just an attempt to sell me 'an insurance plan that will save me thousands of dollars'. Thank-you....NO!
Watched 'THERE THERE' (Netflix). A strange film that's entirely composed of a few heartfelt and passive/aggressive conversations between two people who cannot seem to connect. From the Internet- The film... "focuses on faith, conversation, and "choices versus circumstances"....a divisive, experimental COVID-era indie drama and the actors never share the screen & this creates an uncomfortably intimate yet detached viewing experience"; with Lili Taylor, Lennie James, Molly Gordon, Jason Schwartzman. "57" Metascore and I would easily go to "79".
115pm: Running late & the PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill.
145pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; TUESDAYS WITH STORIES; began 'WE MIGHT BE DRUNK.
Reading 'PRENTICE ALVIN'...napping.
505pm: TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; more 'WE MIGHT BE DRUNK' with FLUFFY.
555pm: In the tub with 'PRENTICE ALVIN' and listening to DAVE HOLLAND- 'Another Land'; ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND- 'Fillmore Live- 1971'.
***I ordered a ten dollar collection of brushes that are designed to clean a bong. Exactly what I need, and on Amazon with free shipping & will be delivered by Thursday.
More of DL HUGHLEY podcast and some random weed/CBD YouTube videos.
More 'RADIOACTIVE EMERGENCY' (Netflix). I shut it down 33 minutes into the third episode. I wonder how the emergency would have been handled if the 'accident' occurred in a wealthier area. It might be that entitled individuals are more problematic than low income people.
