Watched 'A FOGGY TALE' (Netflix). A young girl's brother is executed in Taiwan during the 1950s and she travels to the big city to retrieve his body for burial. She gets tricked by the locals, but manages to win them over. A pleasant 'feel good' kind of a film that was also a complete immersion in the culture of the time.  'The tale within the tale'- Fog vs. Cloud: the mission is to become part of the scenery. 'Fog' becomes 'Cloud' again and again, until it becomes part of the seas. Harmony (Sameness?) is the point of life. The movie is set in Taiwan and the girl is from Chiayi City and this is in southwestern Taiwan and her brother's body is in Tapai. From AI Mode: The conflict between China and Taiwan was an extension of the civil war between the ideologies of Mao and Chiang Kai-Shek. No fighting on the main island of Taiwan, and the US intervened when we went to war in Korea. America was obligated to defend Taiwan from 'mainland aggression'. I didn't know any of this.

Watched 'MYSTIC IRAN: THE UNSEEN WORLD' (Amazon Prime). 539 BC: King Cyrus of Persia conquered the Neo-Babylonian Empire. No sack & pillage; first declaration of human rights based on Mesopotamian statecraft. Allow the conquered some freedoms and this will minimize the risk of future rebellion. Lots of filming (never seen before?) inside of shrines dedicated to the lives of Muslim saints. It's mainly old people in many layers of clothing: dancin' & prancin'...'A Whole Lotta Shaking' Goin' On'. Some 'fun facts' about empires long past and gone.

When she tries the same trick on her daughter, authorities become involved; finished a 'WORST EX EVER' (Netflix)- Hubby pays a man $2,400 to murder his wife. The guy shoots the woman's sister in error.
