Up 620am: Cloudy with a 30% chance of showers and temps to the mid 70's. {not much rain fell at all}

***For the last couple of days I have been having back pain on my lower left side.  I stretched with my arms above my head to the upper part of the archway between the hall and living room. This exercise stretches the muscles (deletes the tension) and now the discomfort is about gone and I no longer have a pronounced 'slump' when I walk. I wasn't sure if the pain was external or internal, but today I'm pretty sure that it was a muscle issue and it's on the wane. I still don't know what caused the problem in the first place.    

Watched 'REMAINS OF THE DAY' (Tubi). Merchant & Ivory essentially tightened up the novel and made the storyline more direct and less ambiguous. The movie is brilliant, but I preferred the novel with the first person, unreliable narrator. Stevens is not consciously concealing his feelings, he just doesn't have any because his only concern is to perform his duties at Darlington Hall to the very best of his ability; with Anthony Hopkins, Emma Thompson, Christopher Reeve, Ben Chaplin, Hugh Grant, James Fox (PERFORMANCE). Nominated for 1 Oscar; 3 wins & 11 nominations. "86" Metascore and I would go to "93". Darlington Hall is in Oxfordshire, UK and Stevens drives to Clevedon, UK (about 100 miles) to visit Ms. Kenton. Clevedon is in South West England on the Bristol Channel just across from Cardiff, Wales.

Began 'THE BUS: A FRENCH FOOTBALL MUTINY' (Netflix). In South Africa during the finals for the 2010 World Cup one of the star players for France got into a violent argument with the coach. He was disciplined and the team sided with the angered player and the next day showed up for practice, but stayed on the bus. Back in France a firestorm ensued. I can easily imagine what would have happened if this occurred on any American championship team. The US would be divided over whether the players were righteously defending their rights or acting like spoiled millionaires. And the French nation is no different.   

1250pm:  The PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill. The threat of random showers lingers through the afternoon. 

115pm:  FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; LEE GEDDY on RICK BEATO; began a 'THE CHURCH OF WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW.

More 'LEGENDS' (Netflix). I shut it down 49 minutes into episode #2. Well acted and realistic.
