745am: The thermostat already read '81' ('75' outside) and it's supposed to be real clammy & moist this afternoon so I turned on the AC for the first time this season. 

Watched 'THE MARKED WOMAN' (Netflix). A superior Police Procedural. A woman is found bound and tortured in a cargo container at the port of Barcelona. The case is given to a female detective who is just back from disability. Her brother committed suicide and she lost it. The tortured woman can't remember anything and we learn that she has the secret code to the workings of an international human trafficking gang. It felt like it was taken from a well written novel. {it was; the novel 'LA DESCONOCIDA' (The Unknown Woman) by Spanish writer Rosa Montero and French author Olivier Truc}. While the story itself is set around the Port of Barcelona the movie was primarily filmed in Algeciras, Spain. This city is directly west of Gibraltar across the Bay of Algeciras.

More 'THE DIPLOMAT' (Netflix). Delete it & Forget it...There's too many fish in the sea. 

Began 'IN THE MUD' (Netflix- season #2). I shut it down 20 minutes into the second episode. And, this series did make an impression.  The quintessential 'Women Behind Bars' genre film. Last season some of the inmates were running a phone sex operation within the prison walls. This season, they leave the prison, go to a fancy hotel bar, find horny rich guys and take them to the room, drug them and then steal credit cards, watches, cash and anything of value. And then it's back to the jail with the loot. This series is a hit and it's so low-down & dirty that you want to take a shower after viewing.

Watched a YouTube video about Rick Ocasek from THE CARS. He was the brains behind 'WEEZER'. He spent almost ten years playing in bar bands and going nowhere. The bass player sang the CARS hits. He was married for over 30 years to one of the most popular fashion models. When he died, his will cut her out of all his millions.

More 'IN THE MUD' (Netflix). The series was filmed in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The prison set was custom-built inside an abandoned tobacco factory in the San Martin district of Greater Buenos Aires. I shut it down 22 minutes into the third episode. Now the girls have kidnapped a famous racecar driver. Wholly implausible, but it rocks.
